Frank J. O'Dea Exhibits Excellence in Culinary Services

Frank O'Dea generates business in museums, cultural centers, hotels, clubs and new lifestyle complexes across the country

    LOS ANGELES, CA, October 10, 2011 /Leisure - Hospitality PR News/ -- Frank J. O'Dea, Vice President of Development at Wolfgang Puck Catering, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in food and beverage development. Wolfgang Puck Catering is part of the Compass Group, a global leader in contract foodservice and hospitality.

As a food and beverage professional, Mr. O'Dea has been working at Wolfgang Puck Catering for the last 6 years providing a restaurant-quality experience in a special event setting. He serves as the Vice President of Development for catering and works to secure management agreements with partners in 13 markets in the U.S. This year he was instrumental in securing the Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas, TX; the food and beverage operations at the historic Showbox Marketplace and SoDo clubs in Seattle as well as EMP Museum and Science Fiction Museum. On the east coast he secured the Mann Music Center in Philadelphia and struck a deal to develop catering at National Harbor in metro Washington, D.C. in a newly designed catering location. He is currently working on catering and banquet opportunities in Chicago, San Francisco, Philadelphia and Las Vegas. His operational experience includes managing $50M in F&B revenue as Senior VP of Operations in California for 3 years. He has held past positions as a food and beverage director in some of the finest hotels in New York City and has managed food and beverage at iconic venues such as the Hollywood Bowl outdoor amphitheater, Los Angeles Music Center, The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Kennedy Center. This experience makes him uniquely qualified to find and deliver new opportunities for Wolfgang Puck Catering and the Compass Group.

Mr. O'Dea graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in 1978 and remains affiliated with the school through its alumni association. He is also a member of the Society of Food Service Management (SFM) and the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM). Having achieved many accomplishments in his own career, he is passionate about mentoring young hospitality graduates; he finds it rewarding to witness their successes.
