Well recognized throughout Costa Rica for his popular TV show "Cooking with Chef Marcel", as well as features in magazines such as "Revista Perfil", "Ballena Tales", "Boletines La Zona" and others, Chef Marcel has become known as the Latin Celebrity Chef with his popular Youtube channel on cooking, as well as a new Facebook Page that shares some of his favorite recipes.
Specializing for more than 15 years in restaurant and culinary consulting, menu elaboration and costing, special event planning, as well as thematic cooking demonstrations, Chef Marcel has launched numerous restaurant Grand Openings to much fanfare and success. "I have always had a love for cooking and the show that goes with it. Even as a boy, my Grandmother could not get me out of the kitchen and finally just let me have my way." says Chef Marcel. "My family was not well off, so I learned to cook over a wood fire behind our house. Latin Celebrity Chef, a nickname he laughs off, Chef Marcel received formal training at the International University of Florida, but eventually returned to his beloved Costa Rica where he has also been featured in popular National television shows like Notimundo, TV Sur Canal 14, Viviana in your Kitchen, Expertv, Canal 33 and Canal 2 Perez Zeledon, to name a few.
